Bachelor Gulch

This 9,800 square foot custom home is located in Bachelor Gulch on the top of a mountain. Built with a log hybrid, stacked log and log elements incorporated into conventional framing, the home evokes timeless design with modern standards. There is moss rock stone and boulders anchoring the home to indigenous landscaping. The home boasts one of a kind custom cabinetry throughout, alder custom interior doors and trim and distressed solid walnut flooring and stairs. There is onyx tile, mosaic tile and slabs throughout master bath and very detailed tile work in all of the baths and showers. This home also includes a theater with custom lighting, finishes and furniture.

Located in beautiful Beaver Creek, Colorado, the home’s location in a quiet ski town initially intimidated the owners. But as they said after the completion of the project, “I was nervous living so far away, but when we moved in we couldn’t find anything wrong – not one thing! The builder, architect and designers-everyone involved made this a joyful, easy experience. We’re all still friends which says a lot!” Hopefully they’ll be happy for many years in the Rocky Mountain High.

The owners had a vision. Create an inviting residence that could accommodate their two adult children and their growing families. Extra care was taken to design a space that could be as comfortable as possible and therefore they thought through every detail. The home is 9,800 square feet and a log hybrid which is stacked log and log elements incorporated into conventional framing.
