Das Berghaus

This stunning LEED certified ski chalet has an Austrian style with a contemporary flair. The homeowners wanted a legacy home that grew with them as their kids got older and started having their own kids but also comfortable for their parents who needed space and are still active skiers.

This home greets you with a beautiful Porte cochere covering most of the driveway. Entry into this over 14,000 square foot home grabs you when you walk in with an interior tower wrapped in beautiful rock that houses the elevator. Surrounding the elevator is a stair case with state of the art LED lighting. The home boasts 14 different types of wood ranging from Colorado and European spruce to rustic white oak, walnut and pine beetle. Each room has its own theme based on their around the world travels with finishes such as white marble and unique tile in each of the bathrooms. The main living space offers stunning floor to ceiling Italian windows that capture the majestic views of the ski mountain and surrounding peaks. It also features a large 3-sided open fireplace which adds to the beauty of the main living space. A full wine wall is also a beautiful detail.

The amenities inside this house are what makes it truly remarkable with its ski in / ski out location. It offers a full ski room complete with lockers and boot warmers. The hot tub, sauna and massage room can rejuvenate you from a long day of skiing or hiking. The state of the art, hidden cigar and poker room with humidification and sound dampening allow for some fun at the end of the day and the high tech theatre room offers the latest laser projection available on the market today.
