Though beautiful, this classic log home felt a bit dated with heavy log timbering and dark interiors making it feel cramped and close. The homeowners wanted to give the home an update and a new contemporary look while still keeping the rustic, Colorado charm of the log frames. This meant bringing in more light, furnishing with brighter colors, and redesigning rooms throughout the spacious home to update the look, feel and flow of the entire house.
The remodel included the kitchen, as the homeowners wanted a more open floor plan for easy entertaining and being with guests while cooking. The resulting kitchen is light, bright, and perfect for party circulation. The primary bath got a complete contemporary makeover with stunning sea pearl granite and new cabinets. The lower level got a new look and feel throughout, with more light thanks to new windows and contemporary interior design flourishes.
A somber Beaver Creek log home is converted to an airy getaway with crowd appeal.
