This home had an important goal – be the retreat and escape that the homeowners wanted it to be. A rustic hideaway nestled in the rockies to be cherished for years to come. This includes a few must haves such as a large kitchen; plenty of entertaining space; room for the family, including future grandchildren and blend rustic with elegance.
The home sits on the valley floor of a sprawling ranch, so blending in and details were important. The home features a mixture of wood, metal and stone throughout with large trusses . The floor plan is flipped with bedrooms downstairs and main living area upstairs to maximize the views from every spot in the house. The house is built as two large houses connected with a bridge upstairs, built over a flowing stream.
Throughout the home, the interior designer created a balance between rustic and elegant. There is a level of refinement but also a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Touches such as marble countertops and roman shades pair with wrought iron hanging lanterns and reclaimed wood cabinets.
