This penthouse remodel was focused on maximizing the views of Beaver
Creek Mountain and creating a better flow throughout. The
homeowners are avid art collectors and lovers of color, so that gave the
interior effort good direction.
Many of the finishes were heavy and dark so the biggest effort was to
lighten the spaces and take some heavy railings out to replace with glass
and metal. There was a tremendous amount of orange butternut
woodwork and the team found a way to lighten that up and compliment
it with light oak flooring. Accent colors of aubergine and blue became
focal points to add furnishings and textures all while keeping the
windows and views as the star of the show.
