Jay Road

Looking forward to the future of sustainable architecture? Look no further than our custom home project, Jay Road. This 8,000 square-foot home produces 22 percent more energy than it uses. With a HERS rating of -22, it has one of the lowest ratings in Boulder County. The house itself is constructed with a super-insulated envelope, geothermal heating and cooling systems, south-facing, triple glazed windows that passively allow solar energy to flood the living space. Additionally, the super-insulated building envelope includes heat recovery ventilators that continuously bring in fresh air while extracting energy from exhausted, stale air, and long-standing LED lighting managed by a low-voltage home automation system.

Standing as a beacon for how sustainability can be beautiful, the 20-acre property also includes a vertical axis wind turbine that generates energy for the buildings. The design of the property sacrifices no detail, with sustainable materials sweeping into high ceilings in soothing tones of white and beech. The impressive property includes a few fun touches, as well, like the water slide into the expansive outdoor swimming pool.
