Royal Elk

This stunning home sits on a beautiful ranch on top of a ridge in Eagle County.   A complex timber post and beam system creates the structure of the main spaces and gives the inside a warm atmosphere.

An underground tunnel connects the main home to a guest suite built into an adjacent hillside. The guest suite was inspired by scenes from the Lord of the Rings featuring a wavy log roof and round entry door along with circular windows.

Towering over the extensive landscaping, which also includes a pool and in ground spa, is a university grade telescope with a retractable roof.

The size and complexity of the home was made more challenging by its extremely remote location.
